Text Box: Vtwins to Vermillion Tour Completed
The weather was terrible, but the Vtwins to Vermillion tour was pulled off without a hitch. The hosts were very accommodative and the accommodations were great. The side tour of J&L Harley Davidson of Sioux Falls was the highlight of the tour for ChopperDave. Sunday’s return trip was long and boring just as predicted.

Chopper’s Today

Text Box: Ask ChopperDave
Text Box: This month’s 1st question has been raised
by many readers.

“ChopperDave, how do you have time to do all the great work I read about in “Choppers Today” and how does it work?
ChopperDave sez: It’s technical, but I have tried to explain some of the concepts in the diagram on the right. Some of it is like wizardry and doesn’t lend itself to explanation so I have oversimplified many of the steps so you can understand it. Here goes: First, while riding my RKC or being entertained by another media source, I have many ideas. These ideas are fed into my brain where the cogs begin to turn in several directions. Then I usually stay up really late and fall asleep at my computer, creating huge errors and some garbage. This is where it gets tricky so pay attention. The output from the previous process is combined to somehow fit together (like a puzzle), which is then uploaded to the World Wide Web. Then you give Choppers Today the “thumbs up”. The process is repeated month after month after month. Next question.
“ChopperDave, ‘How much insurance do I need on my motorcycle? ”
The amount of insurance you need depends on several things. I have tried to summarize some of the items insurance companies should look at when setting your rates. 1. How dumb are you? 2. Is your bike from Japan? 3. Where do you park? 4. How fast can you go while riding a wheelie? 5. Do you ever ride through blinding rainstorms while dodging lightning-bolts? 6. How much can you afford to lose? Obviously, there are several other factors in determining the proper amount of insurance to carry on your motorcycle, but I think you get the idea.

It’s time to ride. On the other hand, the weather is starting to change. Make sure you are utilizing the days when the weather is good. You can do other things later. For instance, if it is a bright, crisp, sunny October Saturday afternoon and your wife told you to rake the leaves...go for a bike ride instead! She may be mad at you for awhile, but she’s been mad at you before and she always takes you back...because you are a biker! Now let’s ride!

Text Box: ChopperDave’s Southern Wisconsin Tour Limited
If you booked a spot on this tour, you already know the motorcycle portion of the tour has been cancelled due to the inclement weather. The side tour of the Treasure Island Casino and the “Sold-Out” Frank Caliendo show will go on as planned.
